We had Logan's 4th birthday party today. When I asked Logan what kind of birthday party he wanted there was no question that he wanted it to be green lantern. So after a month of planning i think that it turned out pretty good. It was a fun day with family and friends. Thanks to everyone that came out and celebrated Logan's 4th Birthday!

I woke up in such a bad mood this morning. I had a dream about my mom last night we where at carter and logans baseball game and she was there sitting in the stands clapping and cheering for her grandsons with the biggest smile on her face. I woke up wanting to cry because It felt so real and how i wish it was real. Today is my moms birthday so of all morning to wake up from having a dream of her is this morning. It makes this day so much harder then it already is.

My dads Aunt passed away Monday Morning. She was 97 years old she lived such a long and happy life. My dad, My sister her son Landen, Me and Tanner got on a plane and came out here on thursday to be here for my grandma and to help out with things. It has been fun seeing family that I haven't seen in 6 years or so. I love this town When I was a kid I would come here every summer to spend time with my grandma after my grandpa passed away.

One thing I love about Kansas is the sunsets here! They are so beautiful when its not cloudy in the summer time you can look up to the sky and see a million starts. I will be coming home on Monday night I will be sad to go not knowing when i will see my grandma again she is 90 years old. But im excited to see my boys and my husband i miss them like crazy!!!

December was a pretty crazy month due to the end of Taylor's busy season, Chads wedding in Portland and Christmas. So I really haven't had much time to blog so here is some of the things that we did this month ( sorry none of the wedding forgot my camera)

We took the kids to look at Christmas lights we had tons of fun. I am sure Austin had the most fun seeing as every house we walked by all we heard was mommy daddy look. He loved Christmas light no matter how small the display or how big it was.

We went to Disneyland a couple of times. I love Disneyland at Christmas time it is so pretty. The picture of Austin is him watching the Disneyland Christmas parade he was pretty excited about it. The picture of the boys is on a bridge on tom sawyers island. And there is tanner my happy baby!

The Covina Christmas parade is a must for my family. I have gone every year since I was a child i just love going and watching it. This year Taylor stayed home with the baby because Tanner was sick and it was pretty cold outside so Danny, Errin Juli and my dad tagged along with us we had a pretty fun time. As you can see Juli had a fun time on her cell phone :o)

I loved this Christmas with the kids they were all so excited this year. Everything that we did was such fun. I love doing things as a family and seeing the boys faces as we do them.

Santa bought these shirts for all the boys minus tanner( santa said they didn't make his size) and daddy. We went to the zoo this week so all the boys wore there shirts I couldn't tell who was more excite the kids or daddy :)

I am so thankful for carpet cleaners!!! Tonight my poor little logie bear threw up all over my couches and the living carpet the usc rug in the bathroom( i know what you are thinking errin) and the hallway. make maters worse my husband is out of town this week . so here i am at 9pm getting ready to clean my carpets and couches and washing all the towels and clothes how lucky am I? I love my logie bear and i hope he feels better tomorrow!

I am so thankful for my sister. My sister and I have always been close growing up being the only girls in our family. But after my mom passed away something changed we knew we only had each other for now on. She is always there when i need her or someone to talk too. She is always there for my kids no matter what. I love her so much and im so thankful that she is my sister.

I am thankful for sunday dinner at the in laws. Every Sunday dinner taylor and I go to the ulrich house for dinner we have been doing this ever since we were married. It is one of my favorite things that we do. I love seeing all my nieces and nephews. I love watching all the kids play together. I love catching up with everybody, i love bobs jokes, And i love janets cooking. Needless to say I just love Sunday dinners!!!

the hardest thing

As you all know that taylor and I have my niece sophia living with us well for the past 2 months. I guess when we decided to take sophia we didn't think of everything that could go right or wrong. We didnt think of her needing so much attention and acting out when she doesn't get it or her never ending crying when she want attention or when she doesn't get her way. How much her needing this attention would start to affect our kids and our family. How having to take her to visits twice a week for 2 hour would start to take a tole on me. Or having to deal with her father who i havent spoke to in two years who i have no relationship with due to drugs alcohol and violence. Due to some action over the past few weeks and after long hours of conversations and crying taylor and I have decided to let sophia go back to the foster home where her brother nathen is. please dont judge us you have no idea how this is tearing me apart inside. i love sophia a ton but i know i need to put my family first and what is best for my kids and there safety. She will be going back to her foster home on monday i know its going to be a really hard thing for me to do im not looking forward to it but i know its the right thing. I just hope they can give her the attention that she needs. Thank you all for your support!

The last 3 weeks Taylor has been out of town for work hes been gone during the week and home on the weekend but still has work. So i've been pretty dang busy being pretty much a single mom to 5 kids. For some reason my kids always seem to get sick when taylor goes out of town so the first week he was gone i was pretty much a walking zombie. Now that my brother has gotten out of jail he has his visits with sophia so i get to add that to my weekly planner (not thrilled about this to say the least) between the meets and being on the phone with social workers or investigators coming to my house to check on sophia things can get a little crazy. I am looking forward to busy season being over to bad we have two more months of it.

On the other hand the kids are doing great....Carter loves school and soccer (not the 8am games), tanner continues to grow and smile :) Sophia is doing good we are working on her crying(she cries all the time) Logan love learning while carter is at school he has learned to write his name. Austin is getting so big he grew up over night. He loves playing in his playroom i think he is in there 80% of the day.

my sweet tanner turned 6 months old today. he is growing up so fast hes turning into a little boy right before my very own eyes.

at his 6 month check up he was 20lbs and 27 1/2 in long
He loves to sit up and play with his toys on the floor
He has his two bottom teeth
He tries very hard to crawl (i hope for not 3 more months)
He loves his baby food (bananas and sweet potatoes the most)
He loves his blanket
He loves his brothers and Sophia even when they are bugging him
His smile is one of the things that brighten up my day
I love this little boy so much I can't wait to see the things that he does as he gets older

my life this past month has been pretty crazy are house has been turned upside down for more then one reason. i get up around 6:30 feed kids breakfast get all five kids in the car to take carter to school for 8:00am....twice a week i take sophia to her meetings with her mom from 10am till 12 noon. then i pick up carter from school at 1:15 carter hasn't gotten any homework yet but im sure thats coming. Carter also has soccer 3 days a week as well. how do i get dinner made....dont judge me but i turn on a movie for the little kids and i put tanner in the highchair with toys and sometimes sophia sits on the counter in the kitchen the only way i can cook without her under my feet the hole time. Taylors busy season is here so the long days, weekends and out of towns start... he says it won't be as bad this year because hes manager now so we will see :) so welcome to my busy life for the next 3 months......

yes this is my 5 year old son watching the music video for taylor swifts mean song. I love country music most of time time when the kids are playing or im cleaning i will turn on country music videos and watch them while i clean. well carter loves this song he knows all the words to it. when ever it comes on no matter what room he is in he runs to the living room and sits on the couch and sings along..... i love this kid

taylor turns 30

Taylors birthday was yesterday and he turned the big 30! We celebrated his birthday last week with his family and i did take a few pictures but they didn't come out for some reason. For those of you who know taylor doesn't like to make a big deal out of his birthday but he has four kids that really wanted to have a "surprise party" for him (taylor knew) so i went to the store got some 30 decorations and decorated are house a little bit.

this kids made a cake for him they did everything but bake the cake ( i made oreo peanut butter cheese cake for us)

I wanted to do something special from the kids but being the week that carter started school and the first week of taylors busy season things have been a little crazy around our house and i havent had much time to do much so this is what i came up with.

we had a really nice weekend in san diego with my aunt and my sister. the first day we went to the bay and went swimming. the second day we went to sea world. the first half of the day didnt go so well. sophia did nothing but cry over everything and anything and carter hurt his nose pretty good so i spend an hour over at first aid. after sophia took her nap and carters nose was doing better it turned out to be a pretty good day. I had tons of fun spending time with my kids and husband. i just love doing things as a family.

So one of the things that carter wanted for his birthday was chocolate sprinkled doughnuts for breakfast so mommy went out at 6 am before he woke up to get them

Another thing carter wanted to do was go to the store and get the joker house something he has been waiting for what seems like forever.

While we where at the store my sweet son carter tell me "mommy we need to get logan the green lantern house if we don't he will cry and if you wont get logan it then i can't get the joker house because i dont want logan to cry" so i called daddy at work and made carter ask daddy on the phone and daddy didn't have the heart to say no. After that we went to mc donalds for lunch with my aunt and sister then we went to grandma janets house to watch aunt errin and uncle danny open up their wedding gifts.

For dinner carter wanted to go to red robin Aka red roberts! He was so excited for them to sing him happy birthday.

How is it three years? Where has the time gone? When my mom passed away I had only Carter and Logan who was only 5 months old now i have 4 little boys I can't help but wish my mom was here to see my little boys grow up. She would love them with all her heart and would spoil them tons. I miss my mom so much I think about her all the time. We have a picture of her in our living room and carter always ask who she is and I have to tell him that is his grandma linda who lives in heaven with Jesus. It breaks my heart when i hear him telling his cousin kaylie I have two grandmas like you do kaylie but one is in heaven my mommy told me. I am so grateful for the time that i had with my mom growing up she was the best mom a girl could ask for. I love you mom and you are always in my heart!!!

i just love his smile i cant get enough of it.

tanner is now 2 months old. He is smiling, cooing, and loves to look all around at what his crazy brothers are doing. Tanner loves spending time in his swing most days thats where he goes when mommy can't hold him when hes fussy because I have to deal with one of his 3 brothers. The boys are in love with him . carter often wants to feed him is bottle or burp him (carter thinks hes the only one that knows how to burp him) logan stopped asking whos baby tanner is i think he finally gets it that its ours. and austin well he loves tanner tons and likes to bug him. you that know austin know what he like :0)

This week the boys cousin karsen cam over to watch a super hero movie and to play. Lets just say it was so much watching the things that these boys would come up with to play. I went to check up on them and they where in the boys bedroom using austins bed as there own pirate boat. then they decided that they wanted to color they where at the table for over a hour coloring. I love having karsen over to play its so much fun .

tanner has always been a good sleeper sleeps 5 hours at night with out waking up and sleeps pretty well during the day........until today that is it all started when he woke up at 2 in the morning last night he hasn't slept more then 15 mins at a time with out waking up and screaming his head off like some one is hurting him ( not like him at all he never cries) it is almost 1 am and i am still up with him i get him to sleep 10 min later hes awake takes me 20 min to get him back to sleep been doing this for the last 4 hours there is only so much tv i can watch and taylors out of town this week i think im going nuts..... not sure if there is something wrong with him gave him some gas drops and some motrin just in case he did have his shots but on monday, .... i dont know what to do to get him to sleep he will sleep in his swing for a bit but i cant leave him in his swing all night im sure that is not safe.......oh well i guess i just out on my i pod and hang out all night im sure the other 3 boys arent going to like mommy tomorrow :)

For mothers day all of us mothers on taylors side decided to get the kids pictures taken for my mother in law for mothers day. So if any of you have ever taken 9 kids to get there pictures taken you know what a chore it can be . Jennette, Kalita and me have never had so much fun taking pictures. I do have to say that the kids where really good for the most part. Some cried, some didn't want to sit still, some smiled, and some made silly faces(logan) but all in all it was a blast.

yesterday we went to disneyland we got there at 10 am in the morning and didn't leave till 9pm . it was a really hot and long day. my aunt melody went with us she got a pass when we did. then around 2pm michael and kalita came with the kids. we didn't tell the boys that they where coming so they where pretty excited to see them. then around 630 uncle danny and aunt errin came to hang out for a bit. It was such a fun day to spend time with family that we love.

Its crazy that tanner is already 2 weeks old today. He is already bigger then he was when he was born. The boys are so in love with there baby brother. Carter loves holding tanner any chance that he gets.Logan being in his own little world half the time doesn't seem to care to much about the baby the first couple of days he would ask me who tanner was whos baby he was.... I think he gets it now. Austin loves Tanner sometimes a little to much. The other day we where in the car driving home from soccer and i hear in the back austin laughing and tanner screaming so i turn around and austin has his hand in the car seat so as soon as the car stops i get out and poor tanners face and head is all scratched. needless to we had to do some car seat switching around in are car because austin is no longer aloud to sit by tanner. Our family is adjusting to the new baby pretty well. Its crazy because I can't even think of my life with just the three anymore its like tanner was always here.

Tanner John Ulrich was born on March 15th 2011 at 12:53pm he was 8lbs 3oz and 21 in long. We are all so glad that he is finally here. He has got to be one of the most loved babies in this world.... His brothers just adore him to pieces. I'm not sure how many times a day the boys come over and just kiss his little head for no reason. Or How many times carter ask to hold him. They love to help too. Anything that has to do with Tanner I ask they do! Tanner is a great baby he really is, he sleeps pretty well. I feel so blessed to have Tanner as my son I can't even explain the joy I feel when im with all my boys. I can't wait to see them all grow up together i know they are going to be the best of friends.

In February my little logie bear turned 3! Its crazy to think that he is already 3. Logan is the most easy going kid that i have. He is always in his own little world. He doesn't let things get to him. He loves his brothers and does get his feelings hurt when he thinks they don't want to play with him. Logan is my eater he will eat anything i give him. He loves i mean loves bananas he will eat them all day if i let him. He also loves strawberry milk. if he has those 2 things he is good for the day. He also is the goofball in the house taylor says he will be the class clown some day.

So today we went and found out that our 4th and last baby is going to be a boy. Kind of a sad moment finding out that we wont have a girl in our family. But after seeing the baby moving around its okay because i love this little baby no matter what. Carter is pretty sad that he isnt having a sister. He keeps say why mommy what happend to my sister. He will be okay when this baby is born. So little Tanner John Ulrich will join our family sometime around april 5th or so.

Its been a crazy few months. Summer was a blast but it is gone now and we are in taylors busy season. Carter is in preschool and soccer and loves both. He is growing up so fast its crazy, He can write and spell his name and some other words as well. He begs me to let him do his homework to bad that will change in a few years. Logan wants to do everything that carter does to bad hes not old enough to yet. He is the goof in our house he is the tiny one but he is such a cutie is hard to get mad at him. Austin well he is the same size as logan and he is so strong minded. He is very out spoken even though you can't understand what he says. The boys are really excited about the new baby on the way. Carter really wants this baby to be a girl he says i dont want a brother mommy i need a sister! he is so cute!

crazy & busy the past few months

These past couple of months have been one thing after another. Every weekend we have had something going on. Taylor has been out of town for a couple of weeks this past month. We have had a wedding more birthdays then i can count and a lot of family stuff going on. In April we did a diabetes walk for my mom with about 30 people from my family it was really nice. Carter played t-ball for 8 week in march and april and he had so much fun(he loves t-ball). Carter started preschool this week. They had a 6 week class so that we can see if we want him to go to that one in the fall so far he loves it( Logan not so much cries every time we drop carter off). Logan is talking so much now the things that he comes up with is crazy. There are times i cant understand what he is saying but he knows what he is saying and gets mad because i don't. He loves his brothers so much and is a big time mommies boy. He is about the same size as austin. Austin will be one in about 2 1/2 weeks and still isn't walking yet not sure when he will start walking he is a lazy baby. He is so darn cute. I love his laugh he has the best laugh. As you can tell by the pictures the boys love each other they are so close and they are my pride and joy.

why am i up at 1:00am you ask because my little baby boy is up wide awake. i love this baby tons but im wonder why he doesn't sleep at night anymore. He shouldn't be waking up so much in the middle of the night. I really wish that he would sleep all night long. I am taking pain medicine for my neck and i can only take it at night because it makes me really sleepy so when i have to wake up a bunch it just doesn't go well. This past month has been going pretty well. Taylor's busy season has come to an end but he seems to be still working pretty late going well over his goal hours so that means he gets to take some time off in march so im pretty happy about that. Carter is getting so big the things that that kid comes up with sometimes i don't even know where he gets them from. He is a smart little boy sometime a little to smart. Logan is my little loggie the small one in the family but he is so loving. He loves everyone even the people that sit behind us or in front of us in line at the store. He talks to everyone and anyone. Austin is such a big boy, growing everyday. He has so much personality. He is trying so hard to crawl around and when he does im sure im going to be in some trouble. I have been spending some time with my birth dad and i have to say it is pretty exciting. Its really hard to explain the feeling i get when i think about it. All my life i disliked this man but when i see him and i talk to him is a whole other feeling. I know that he has done a lot of things in his life and lot of things that i am really not okay with. But who am i to judge him. He is trying to get his life back and all i know is that i want to be there for him. I know that i dont owe him anything but i like being a part of his life. Sometimes when i see him sometimes i feel sad and hurt that i wasnt more important to him then drugs at that time is his life. When he tells me stories about him past sometime I have to try really hard not to cry or show any emotions. I know we have a long way to go but im glad that i found him. I love talking to his sisters. It is so cool to know that i have these 4 aunt out there. I can't wait till the day that i can go see them.

Today is my moms birthday. It is crazy how fast time goes by. It feels like yesterday was the day she passed away. It does seem easier t deal with now then it did last year. My mom is still always on my mind. When I do things I think wow im so much like my mom its scary. A lot of times when im cooking in the kitchen something that my mom cooked i feel like she is there watching over me telling me what i am doing right or wrong. I make sure that i show the boys pictures of her so that they know there grandma that loved them so much. So to you mom happy birthday and we all love and miss you tons.

Our Christmas was a great one this year. Taylor and I woke up around 6 took are showers so that we could be ready for the day. The boys The boys woke up around 7 and where so excited to see the tree with all the gifts under it. The boys where so into opening up all there gifts that it only took about an hour to open them all up. Then we where off to grandma and grandpa ulrichs house to open up gifts with the family we had a blast there. It was a pretty busy day of opening gifts, spending time with family, eating really good food, and enjoying watching my kids having fun watching playing with all there new toys. Taylor is off for two weeks his busy season has come to an end. So we will be enjoying his time off spending time with family :)

today was just such a great day i have to share. For those of you who don't know i am adopted. I was adopted when i was a little girl. I have for a long time now wanted to find my birth parents or any kind of blood related family. Today was that day. I found out that my birth dad has 4 sisters and i got to talk to one of them on the phone. I can't tell you the feeling that i felt talking to my biological aunt. For years I have been the only sibling in my family that didn't know anything about there birth family or where they came from. Now i know a little more then I did yesterday and that is such a great thing. Im not expecting anything out of these people just knowing that they are out there is enough for me. Ever since my mom died last year i have a had a piece of me missing and now i feel like something came back to me its hard to explain really. I found out that my birth dad has been in and out of jail and that my birth mom might be dead. but its okay im okay with it at least i know that i tried to find them even if they didn't try to find me. I can go on with my life not wondering what if.....

My 5 month old baby who is getting bigger and bigger every day. He is rolling all around the floor and is sitting up on his own. He brings much joy to all of us. His brothers love him so much and he loves them, he smiles whenever he sees them. ( I LOVE HIS EYES!)

My Logie Bear is so cute. He loves reading book at night when he should be sleeping he sits in the corner of his room reading books. He is getting so big i love it. He talks so much now and says so many words. He follows carter and does whatever Carter does, its cute. He is learning his colors and his favorite color is yellow and he says it so cute too. Everything is yellow.

Carter has such a great imagination. He loves playing all kinds of things and he makes thing up as he is playing. One minute he is a cop, a robot, a superhero , or a mailman. He is great playing by himself as well. I have been working with him on counting and his abc and he is doing pretty well. He will be going to preschool starting in January he is looking forward to going to school. I think it will do him good for a couple days a week for a couple of hours.

Carter has been playing soccer for 6 weeks now and he loves it. He doens't understand the rules and why people take the ball away from him. This week he said during practice when they where playing "mommy they won't let me play soccer" as the kids where kicking the ball away from him. It has been a year ago that my mom passed away. Its crazy to be that it still fills like it happened yesterday. I can remember everything that happened that day so clear. That when I think about it it still makes me cry. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of my mom. I miss so many things about her. I miss her phone calls the most her calling me just to see how I am doing or what I am doing. It took me a long time when ever my house phone would ring for me not to think it was her she was really the only that called our house everyone else called my cell. When I had Austin it was pretty hard for me not having her there the day he was born. Not having her support. The day I had logan she was in the same hospital I was in giving birth and she made he doctors release her so that she could be with me do having austin brought back all that. I know that she would be proud of her 3 grandsons and I know that she would be in her glory.

My Austin is getting so big so fast its crazy. He is 7 weeks today and is way bigger and longer then Carter or Logan was at his age. We are thinking that he is going to be the tallest out of the three. Two weeks ago he was 23 in. long I can't wait for his 2 month check up to see how big he is. He is a growing boy. Hes not my new born baby anymore and that does make me sad a little.

So I have been working with Carter Teaching him his ABC and Counting. I've got to say that he is doing a great job. He catches on to things pretty fast he amazes me all the time. And of course when I am working with Carter Logan has to be involved Carter is really cute when he is trying to teach Logan things. Next task is to teach him how to write his name let just hope he doesn't try to make Logan write his name as well.....
